STAGE THREE RECOVERY FOR CHEMICAL/CODEPENDENCE
Once the major obstacles to remaining sober are dealt with, individuals put their lives back together and continue to build them.
This stage is slowly structured once issues are resolved and energy is freed up to pursue other interests such as spirituality, leisure activities, and bringing balance into one's life.
A state of normalcy is attained and maintained, provided the recovering person remains conscious of the fact that they are still addicted. This is an ongoing process for individuals.
Some concerns at this stage are:
- Switched or new addictions
- Isolation from support groups
- Overconfidence/complacency
